Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated UI, API, and batch tests for policy, billing, and claims applications.
- Create reusable test utilities such as test data builders, page objects, API clients, and helpers.
- Validate policy, claims, billing, rating, underwriting, regulatory, and compliance workflows.
- Execute manual and automated regression, SIT, UAT, migration, conversion, integration, and API testing.
- Use SQL to validate records, balances, status transitions, counts, fields, and calculated values.
- Automate and execute REST/SOAP validations, including payloads, status codes, business errors, and authentication flows.
- Run automation suites through CI pipelines using Azure DevOps or Jenkins and publish reports, logs, and evidence.
- Troubleshoot test failures, distinguish test, environment, and product defects, and log defects with clear reproduction steps.
- Collaborate with BAs, SMEs, developers, co-workers, and supervisors to clarify behavior, confirm fixes, improve processes, and support client needs.
Requirements
- Ability and willingness to learn and develop QA automation and insurance-domain expertise.
- Experience or capability in automated testing across web UI, services, and batch processes is relevant to the role.
- Ability to validate property and casualty insurance workflows, including policy, claims, billing, rating, underwriting, and regulatory behaviors.
- Ability to perform SQL-based backend validation and migration or conversion reconciliation.
- Familiarity with REST/SOAP testing and tools or scripts such as Postman, REST Assured, or Karate.
- Ability to execute tests in CI pipelines such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins and troubleshoot failures.
- Strong defect reporting, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
