Responsibilities
- Design and implement standardized, reusable test automation frameworks covering functional and non-functional requirements.
- Develop and maintain platform infrastructure tests, including validation of Terraform-managed deployments and external data-source integrations.
- Create Python-based test utilities, helper scripts, and automation tooling.
- Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD and deployment pipelines.
- Support SLA definition, compliance criteria, test reporting, and integration with Jira Xray.
- Enable development teams through documentation, local test environments, early coverage analysis, and shift-left testing practices.
- Collaborate across teams, make technical decisions, mentor junior members, and lead process improvements.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in test management and at least 7.5 years of stated overall experience.
- Proven experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks from scratch.
- Strong hands-on Python experience for application development and test scripting.
- Experience with Docker, containerized deployments, CI/CD workflows, Terraform, Linux, and GCP or comparable cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with Cloud Run or similar serverless container services is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of test planning, execution, defect tracking, QA methodologies, and test automation tools.
- Fluent business-level German and English; German is listed as preferred in the engagement details.
- Experience with microservices or event-driven architectures, API testing, DevOps practices, financial services compliance, and database migration or database-layer testing is preferred.
