Responsibilities
- Define and implement cloud security architecture frameworks, principles, and guidelines for enterprise environments and workloads.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and sustainably address security maturity initiatives.
- Design scalable solutions for complex infrastructure-related security challenges with cloud security architects, developers, and engineers.
- Build proof-of-concept tools and platforms to address security issues at scale.
- Conduct architecture reviews, security assessments, threat modeling, and risk analysis of cloud-native services and infrastructure.
- Establish secure reference architectures, reusable security patterns, standards, and best practices for cloud deployments.
- Lead strategic planning and continuous improvement of cloud security capabilities, including public-cloud-native security products and third-party tools.
- Partner with incident response teams and SOC analysts to improve detection, investigation, and mitigation of cloud security incidents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience securing complex on-premises or cloud deployments, including 6+ years dedicated to cloud security architecture and design.
- Significant experience with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure, including compute, network, and storage services.
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, Go, or Java.
- Extensive experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices architectures.
- At least 5 years of experience with infrastructure-as-code deployments using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and technical leadership skills.
