Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements and execute project plans, release plans, and work items.
- Design and implement end-to-end scenarios, performance testing, profiling, and optimization strategies for storage systems.
- Develop benchmarking and automation tools to evaluate system performance, validate scenarios, and improve productivity.
- Analyze bottlenecks, latency, and resource utilization across compute, storage, and networking layers; perform root cause analysis and resolve complex issues.
- Define key performance metrics and provide data-driven recommendations for scaling and tuning.
- Drive cross-product project and release plans while collaborating with multiple groups.
- Serve as a Designated Responsible Individual, participate in on-call monitoring, alert stakeholders, and restore services during degradation or interruptions.
- Guide other engineers by developing and following operational playbooks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: Master’s degree and 6+ years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience in performance and systems engineering, distributed systems, or large-scale cloud services.
