Responsibilities
- Design, build, operate, and maintain critical Loki and telemetry database systems.
- Own the reliability, performance, availability, and ongoing operations of services.
- Drive projects from ideation and requirements gathering through delivery and customer operations.
- Develop new features, iterate based on results, and contribute to open-source projects.
- Participate in on-call rotations and take ownership of operated services.
- Mentor teammates, contribute to design discussions, and collaborate in a remote engineering organization.
Requirements
- Solid experience with at least one programming language, including Go, Python, C, C++, Rust, or a similar language.
- Some experience delivering projects independently from requirements gathering and ideation through customer release.
- Some experience developing software that runs in the cloud or working in systems engineering.
- Experience writing clean, robust, performant, and maintainable software.
- Strong communication, collaboration, self-direction, customer focus, and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
