Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of tools and platforms for managed IT and security services.
- Develop cybersecurity capabilities for threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- Architect, deploy, and manage secure, scalable multi-cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Oversee Kubernetes and containerization platform development and optimization.
- Evaluate, integrate, and optimize open-source and commercial IT and security technologies.
- Build automation scripts and tools for deployment, configuration management, and real-time monitoring.
- Lead cyber incident response tooling and processes for detection, analysis, and remediation.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and lead technical training sessions.
- Establish documentation, engineering standards, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in IT engineering, security operations, or a related technical role, preferably in MSP or MSSP environments.
- Extensive expertise in networking, Windows, Linux, and advanced cybersecurity principles.
- Advanced proficiency with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, and other container orchestration platforms.
- Expert-level scripting ability with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Deep experience with open-source and commercial IT and security tools, including SIEM, EDR, and monitoring platforms.
- Proven leadership experience with technical teams, large-scale projects, and organizational change.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CISSP, CKA, or other specialized certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience leading advanced tooling and capability development for managed services, cybersecurity operations, or complex cloud environments is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, continuous integration and continuous deployment, infrastructure as code, and configuration management tools is preferred.
