Responsibilities
- Design and maintain Playwright end-to-end UI automation scripts across multiple product renderers.
- Independently analyze release scope, identify testing requirements, and execute comprehensive release validation.
- Debug, analyze, and fix test failures in Harness CI pipelines and BrowserStack cloud execution environments.
- Collaborate with manual QA, developers, and product teams on test mapping, coverage analysis, and defect reproduction.
- Improve and extend the automation framework using maintainable testing practices.
- Identify testing risks, escalate blockers, and drive mitigation strategies.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Playwright for end-to-end UI automation, including locators, auto-waiting, fixtures, reporters, and parallel execution.
- Strong TypeScript proficiency focused on clean, maintainable test code.
- Experience implementing the Page Object Model with separation of actions, assertions, and locators.
- Familiarity with YAML and JSON for test data and environment-specific configuration.
- Ability to independently analyze release requirements, plan testing scope, and drive end-to-end release testing with minimal supervision.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and resolving flaky or unstable tests through root-cause analysis.
- Proficiency with Git, pull-request workflows, and collaborative code review.
- Knowledge of multi-locale test execution and localization testing.
- Nice-to-have experience with NeoLoad, Selenium, Java, Cursor or similar AI coding-agent tools, Harness CI, and BrowserStack.
