Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, secure, and reliable features and data solutions across the Reporting API, Amazon Marketing Stream, and processing engines.
- Own projects from requirements and system design through implementation, testing, and production support.
- Optimize client and server systems for performance, scalability, maintainability, and extensibility while integrating data across many services.
- Collaborate with senior and principal engineers on architecture and system design for strategic projects.
- Write maintainable code, conduct peer reviews, and promote engineering standards.
- Propose tools, frameworks, and automation while driving monitoring, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with product managers, technical account managers, technical program managers, and mentees to understand customer needs and promote engineering excellence.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
