Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance automated test suites for Android applications.
- Create automation for provisioning, configuring, deploying, and validating software on Android devices.
- Maintain and operate a physical Android device lab, including device provisioning and software updates.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Investigate automated test failures and improve test reliability.
- Analyze software changes to identify testing gaps and prioritize regression coverage.
- Reproduce software defects and support debugging and issue resolution.
- Validate software fixes and support release readiness through testing.
- Document test plans, automation processes, and quality results.
- Provide regular status updates and recommend improvements to testing strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of software engineering or SDET experience.
- 1+ years of experience developing automated tests for Android applications.
- Experience provisioning and executing software on physical Android devices.
- Strong programming experience in Kotlin, C++, or another strongly typed language.
- Experience designing and maintaining automated test frameworks.
- Experience debugging software issues using logs and diagnostic tools.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work independently and manage technical priorities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
