Base Salary
$160k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and maintain physical and MAC layer software for the Starlink communications network.
- Participate in architecting current and next-gen Starlink hardware and signal processing algorithms.
- Engage in hardware bring-up, debugging, verification, and launch activities.
- Collaborate with teams for cross-layer integration of the end-to-end system.
- Develop prototypes to validate key design concepts and assess technical constraints.
- Plan and organize product development in collaboration with other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or STEM discipline, or 2+ years of professional software engineering experience with C or C++.
- Experience with wireless software or network protocols.
- Strong knowledge of wireless communications, signal processing, and network protocols.
- Familiarity with RF systems and fundamentals, including noise figure and link budget.
- Experience with software for RF/mixed-signal integrated circuits and systems.
- Proficiency in Digital Signal Processing algorithms and techniques.
- Experience with lab equipment such as RF spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes.
- Knowledge of physical and/or MAC layers in broadband access technologies like Wi-Fi, LTE, or 5G.
- Exceptional analytical skills and a creative approach to problem-solving.
- Strong debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment with changing needs.
