Software Engineer II
Cadence Design SystemsResponsibilities
- Implement Adams application backend business logic and persistence.
- Implement Adams UI extensions, modeling objects, and templates.
- Modernize the Adams backend to use modern hardware.
- Expand automated test coverage and implement build and test pipeline logic.
- Collaborate with Adams product development teams and other Cadence groups.
- Contribute to debugging, usability improvements, and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
- 0–5 years of experience.
- Experience with React, JavaScript, and Python scripting.
- Familiarity with multilayered software architecture involving frameworks, plug-ins, and public APIs.
- Experience with VSCode and CoPilot.
- Strong familiarity with agentic AI and using AI for productivity gains.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred: C++ and Qt coding experience, MVVM/MVC patterns, VTune, JIRA, CAD/CAE familiarity, and GPU coding.
