Responsibilities
- Design and deploy RAG pipelines grounded in client codebases, architecture documents, ADRs, runbooks, and engineering standards.
- Configure Flowsource Code Companion and the Flowsource VS Code extension, including retrieval chunking and reranking for client content.
- Build and maintain client-specific prompt libraries for code generation, refactoring, test scaffolding, and code review assistance.
- Govern the coexistence of Flowsource AI tools with GitHub Copilot or equivalent integrations.
- Evaluate LLM outputs for coding-standard conformance, hallucinations, security issues, and PII leakage.
- Instrument GenAI adoption and productivity metrics, including prompt volume, acceptance rate, token consumption, and developer usage.
- Assess LLM choices across AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, and on-premise models while managing cost, latency, and quality trade-offs.
- Provide feedback on BizChat.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 1–2 years building production RAG or generative AI systems.
- Hands-on experience with LangChain or LlamaIndex and vector databases such as pgvector, OpenSearch, Pinecone, or Azure AI Search.
- Depth with LLM APIs on AWS Bedrock or Azure OpenAI; familiarity with GCP Vertex AI is helpful.
- Strong Python skills and TypeScript experience for VS Code extension surfaces and extension points.
- Experience building evaluation harnesses and golden sets, including hallucination and bias testing.
- Awareness of enterprise AI governance, data residency, prompt logging, and PII handling.
- Ability to evaluate and balance LLM quality, latency, and cost across cloud and on-premise deployments.
