Base Salary

Responsibilities

  • Develop computer vision and machine learning algorithms for object detection, classification, localization, and tracking from stationary and mobile sensor platforms.
  • Perform visual imagery data science to guide data collection, labeling, selection, representation, and model training.
  • Analyze and rank algorithms, define objectives and metrics, conduct experiments, and diagnose data and model errors.
  • Write and test software integrating machine learning algorithms into aircraft systems, autopilots, payloads, and other systems.
  • Support requirements definition, concept design, prototyping, detailed design, test and evaluation, and validation and verification testing.
  • Troubleshoot complex systems, perform algorithmic optimization, and analyze and visualize large datasets.
  • Collaborate with teammates and complete assigned work with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related science or engineering discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant machine learning or computer vision experience; the posting also specifies 5–8 years of relevant computer vision experience.
  • Proficiency with Python and C/C++.
  • Proficiency with a deep learning framework, preferably PyTorch.
  • Proficiency with computer vision and machine learning libraries such as OpenCV, scikit-learn, and pandas.
  • Familiarity with Linux and NVIDIA tools including CUDA, JetPack, and TensorRT, as well as deployment to NVIDIA Jetson processors and other NVIDIA GPUs.
  • Ability to perform exploratory data analysis, troubleshoot complex systems, optimize algorithms, and work with large datasets.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, along with an active Secret-level or higher DoD security clearance.
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally, up to 25%; an advanced degree is preferred.
