Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, customize, and enhance Roku streaming applications and software components.
- Build Roku UI components using BrightScript and Scene Graph.
- Integrate player, analytics, advertising, third-party libraries, billing, and in-app purchase functionality.
- Consume RESTful services and JSON and optimize application performance on Roku devices.
- Debug and troubleshoot Roku applications using Roku debugging tools.
- Support Roku channel certification, publishing, release, and deployment procedures.
- Collaborate with multiple teams, contribute to technical decisions, provide technical guidance, and monitor project delivery.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience is required.
- Experience developing video streaming applications for Roku using BrightScript, Scene Graph, and XML.
- The posting also specifies 4 to 7 years of experience in Roku video streaming application development and a minimum of 7.5 years of relevant Roku development experience.
- Experience with BrightScript, Roku debugging tools, Scene Graph, Roku APIs, and Roku application development.
- Experience integrating player, analytics, and advertising SDKs and developing customized Scene Graph UI components.
- Familiarity with HLS, DASH, DRM, video encoding, streaming formats, IAP, billing testing, and Roku channel certification.
- Experience consuming RESTful services and JSON, with understanding of HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, application performance optimization, and Roku release and deployment skills.
- 15 years of full-time education.
- JavaScript is required.
