Responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery on client projects and set standards for quality and performance.
- Design and implement robust kdb+ architectures capable of handling billions of rows of time-series data.
- Collaborate with quants, traders, and analysts to translate business needs into performant and efficient code.
- Develop, test, support, and maintain client application code throughout the full development lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers and provide technical leadership.
- Drive innovation across kdb+, q, and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on kdb+ development experience with deep expertise in q and time-series data.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and scaling kdb+ architectures in production.
- Strong background in Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and decision-making experience in fast-paced projects.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining complex systems to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in capital markets or investment banking.
- Bonus qualifications include AI tooling experience with Claude or Co-Pilot, Python, AWS, GCP, Azure, other time-series databases, tick data, real-time analytics, electronic trading systems, and people or team leadership.
