Responsibilities
- Lead the definition, design, architecture, implementation, and delivery of Slate software.
- Build, code, test, and integrate system components while owning end-to-end code quality and system testing.
- Lead code and design reviews and make complex technical trade-off decisions involving reliability, scaling, and long-term technology choices.
- Collaborate with UX and product teams to create customer-focused digital experiences and applications.
- Mentor engineers on advanced technical issues and assist managers with team career development.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- 12+ years of professional software development experience.
- 10+ years of programming experience in at least one modern language such as Java or C++.
- 10+ years of full-stack mobile development experience across Android, iOS, or modern web browsers and services, primarily using Java in a Linux or Unix environment.
- 10+ years of experience architecting and designing new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- 10+ years of experience across the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- 7+ years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems.
