Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and support enterprise applications, integrations, and data exchange solutions using jBase and related technologies.
- Support secure integration processes involving APIs, EDI, cXML, JSON, HTTPS, SFTP, and other data exchange technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, database, integration, and production support issues affecting system stability, performance, and data integrity.
- Develop automation scripts, system utilities, and technical solutions that improve operational efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with business partners, customers, vendors, and technical teams to gather requirements, implement enhancements, and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in solution design, code reviews, testing, deployment, technical documentation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Lead or coordinate assigned workstreams for small to moderately complex projects while exercising independent judgment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and relevant experience.
- At least 2 years of professional experience developing and supporting software applications.
- At least 2 years of experience working with jBase/PICK MultiValue databases.
- Experience supporting Linux/UNIX operating systems in production environments and creating shell scripts such as Bash or Korn.
- Experience using AWK, HTTPS, SFTP, OAuth, API security concepts, Git or another enterprise version control system, and at least one transaction format such as EDI, cXML, or JSON.
- Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot production support issues and manage multiple priorities with limited guidance.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, complex formulas, and data analysis techniques.
- Preferred qualifications include 3+ years supporting ERP, procurement, supply chain, distribution, or commerce platforms; REST APIs; XML; middleware; enterprise integration; high-volume production environments; B2B integrations; CI/CD; cloud platforms; Docker; monitoring and logging; infrastructure automation; Infrastructure-as-Code; and jBase administrative utilities.
- Familiarity with secure application development and API security best practices is preferred.
