Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, deploy, and maintain resilient, scalable backend software solutions.
- Build and support robust APIs consumed by other teams.
- Integrate AWS cloud and serverless solutions into software products.
- Contribute to distributed systems using event-driven architecture patterns.
- Design and manage NoSQL data storage solutions.
- Apply domain-driven design principles to complex business domains.
- Write unit tests, participate in code reviews, and apply software development best practices.
- Participate in planning sessions, stand-ups, retrospectives, and other team processes.
- Identify improvements, reduce technical debt, and contribute to team development and operational efficiency.
- Mentor new hires, interns, and junior engineers when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of software development experience.
- Proficiency with TypeScript syntax and features.
- Strong understanding of APIs and HTTP methods.
- Experience with AWS services including DynamoDB, Lambda, CloudWatch, and API Gateway.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code frameworks such as CDK or SAM.
- Experience with unit testing, test automation, CI/CD tools and processes.
- Understanding of distributed computing and experience building scalable systems.
- Experience with event-driven programming and tools such as AWS SNS/SQS, EventBridge, Kafka, or similar.
- Proficiency with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or MongoDB.
- Experience applying domain-driven design concepts.
- Familiarity with Scrum or Kanban processes.
- Preferred qualifications include backend framework experience, cloud and serverless knowledge, Git, code review practices, distributed systems projects, event-driven systems, NoSQL projects, DDD, and technical debt reduction.
