Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications and integration solutions.
- Translate business requirements into clear, maintainable, performant, and secure code.
- Apply modern Android development concepts, software architecture, design patterns, and reusable coding practices.
- Collaborate with delivery teams, QA teams, and business analysts to design solutions, run functional tests, and resolve requirements gaps.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, participate in after-hours support when required, and analyse recurring issues to reduce downtime.
- Create and maintain SDLC documentation and ensure compliance with governance standards.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and refine support procedures.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience developing mobile applications with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Android Studio.
- Proven Android product development experience, including building and maintaining applications with large user bases.
- Experience with modern Android development, reusable and testable code, unit and UI testing, code reviews, debugging, software architecture, and design principles.
- Experience developing mobile applications within agile teams.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and deployment automation.
- Familiarity with Google Play Console and Firebase App Distribution.
- Modularization experience is advantageous.
- Strong communication, collaboration, business, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use AI responsibly in engineering workflows and coach others on appropriate AI practices.
