Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems and APIs.
- Architect and implement scalable backend solutions for growing user loads.
- Maintain high coding standards and conduct code reviews.
- Identify bottlenecks and optimize code for improved performance.
- Implement monitoring and debugging tools for high system availability.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test suites for backend reliability.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Document code, APIs, and technical processes for knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Must be located in the EMEA region.
- Strong experience with TypeScript is required.
- Experience working with the Stellar network in production environments.
- Previous experience in the blockchain space is a plus.
- Extensive professional experience in a similar senior or lead role.
- Solid understanding of document databases and caching mechanisms.
- Experience in software design and system architecture.
- Strong knowledge of testing frameworks and best practices.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Ability to write maintainable, scalable, production-grade code.
- Curiosity for new technologies and ability to suggest improvements.
- Very strong written and verbal English skills.
- Experience with Stellar’s Soroban smart contracts is a plus.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science is a plus.
