Base Salary
$110k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and ship development tools and prototype code for R&D engineers working on new Formlabs products.
- Design, build, test, and ship code for new printer features deployed to tens of thousands of Formlabs devices.
- Promote code reuse, maintainability, testing, and continuous integration.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to develop customer-focused features.
Requirements
- Have 5 to 100 years of professional experience writing software for consumer, medical, defense, or industrial hardware products.
- Have experience programming in C, C++, and/or Python, with familiarity with modern embedded software stacks.
- Implement embedded software architecture patterns for filtering, control loops, and remote procedure calls.
- Architect maintainable, reusable code for other software engineers.
- Debug complex interactions between hardware and software.
- Communicate complex technical topics clearly to non-software stakeholders.
