Base Salary
$200k - $350k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and test the entire real-time control system from low-level firmware through the input specification for each robot embodiment.
- Own control software across robot embodiments ranging from stock industrial cobot arms to custom hardware.
- Collaborate with machine learning teams to turn output intentions into smooth, efficient, safe, and responsive actions.
- Collaborate with hardware teams and partners to ensure system dynamics and components behave optimally.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with rigid-body kinematics and robotic controls.
- Experience bringing robots into production environments with stringent reliability requirements.
- Experience writing high-performance, production-ready Python and C++.
- Experience with kinematics and simulation libraries.
- Experience with robotic middleware platforms such as ROS, ROS2, or ZCM.
