Responsibilities
- Support automotive infotainment customers in commercializing products using Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ/MSM platforms.
- Answer customer questions and troubleshoot audio issues involving QNX/Linux kernel drivers and Android HAL/framework.
- Support AGL, Genivi, and QNX specification components.
- Analyze customer requirements and propose feature designs and implementations.
- Debug low-level audio software involving Device Tree, ALSA, audio services, and audio managers.
- Use debugging and troubleshooting tools including GDB, JTAG Debugger, and ADB.
- Design and implement software and produce technical documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and 4+ years of relevant experience; or a master's degree and 3+ years; or a PhD and 2+ years.
- At least 2 years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- At least 1 year of experience with debugging techniques.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and experience with assembly.
- Knowledge of QNX, Linux, Android, multithreading, data structures, and basic algorithms.
- Knowledge of I2S, PCM, TDM, and related audio technologies.
- Professional experience with low-level Linux audio kernel drivers, Device Tree, ALSA, audio services, audio managers, and related debugging.
- Experience with software design and implementation and software management systems such as Git, P4, and Gerrit.
- Preferred experience with Qualcomm MSM platforms, QNX io-audio, DSPC-AWE, QNX or other hypervisors, and audio DSP.
- Technical lead project abilities and strong documentation, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
