Responsibilities
- Define technical solutions to business problems and contribute to a scalable architectural vision.
- Build and ship backend services and other production code using the company’s technology stack.
- Deploy releases frequently using CircleCI and Spinnaker, gather customer feedback, and iterate.
- Monitor services, diagnose root causes, and deploy fixes before issues affect users.
- Work cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and international engineering colleagues.
- Take ownership of team problems and maintain a high standard of quality.
Requirements
- Experience working at a similar level in a mature engineering team.
- Technical expertise in at least one programming language, particularly Kotlin or Ruby.
- Ideally, experience with relational databases.
- A demonstrable record of impact in previous roles.
- A proactive, independent, driven, and detail-oriented approach.
- A STEM degree is preferred, but candidates who developed their expertise through another route are welcome.
