Responsibilities
- Define technical solutions to business problems and contribute to a scalable architectural vision.
- Build and maintain backend services using Kotlin microservices, Postgres, and some Ruby on Rails.
- Deploy and iterate frequently using CircleCI and Spinnaker while gathering customer feedback.
- Monitor services, diagnose root causes, and deploy fixes before issues affect users.
- Work collaboratively with product managers, designers, and an international engineering team.
Requirements
- Experience working at a similar level in a mature engineering team.
- Expertise in at least one programming language, with Python, Kotlin, and Ruby used by the team.
- Ideally, experience with relational databases.
- A STEM degree is preferred, though equivalent experience or an alternative career path is accepted.
- A demonstrable record of impact, proactive problem-solving, independence, and strong attention to detail.
