Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate AKS clusters with enterprise guardrails, autoscaling, upgrade strategies, and security controls.
- Implement GitOps using Flux CD and establish Helm chart standards and lifecycle management with Helm 3.
- Define Docker image standards, multi-stage builds, SBOM processes, vulnerability scanning, and base image governance.
- Configure Nginx and Kong for ingress, API routing, rate limiting, mutual TLS, JWT/OAuth2 authentication, and WAF integration.
- Deploy Prometheus and Grafana for metrics, alerting, dashboards, and SLO/SLA visualization.
- Lead Jenkins and GitHub Actions automation for build, test, deploy, reusable templates, and environment promotion.
- Build Terraform or Bicep infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code pipelines with validation, PR gates, and compliance checks.
- Secure and automate Azure Key Vault, cert-manager, ACME, and PFX-based secret, key, and certificate management.
- Design Azure networking using VNets, NSGs, route tables, Private Link, firewall rules, egress controls, and hub-spoke traffic segregation.
- Operate and integrate Azure Blob Storage, Azure Redis Cache, PostgreSQL, Azure Cosmos DB with Mongo API, and Azure Service Bus.
- Own platform engineering standards and lead transformational changes that improve reliability, security, compliance, and customer experience.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE roles.
- 2+ years leading teams or cross-functional initiatives.
- Deep expertise with Azure Public and Azure Government cloud services and resource management.
- Hands-on experience with AKS, Helm 3, Flux CD, Docker, Prometheus, Grafana, Nginx, and Kong.
- Experience automating CI/CD with Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Strong automation and debugging development skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript, plus Bash or PowerShell.
- Proven experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools, policy-as-code, and secure SDLC integrations.
- Ability and willingness to obtain GSA Tier 2 Suitability Clearance.
- Preferred experience with Azure Government, FedRAMP controls, and Authority to Operate support.
- Preferred certifications include AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, CKA/CKAD, and Terraform Associate.
