Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services for inventory, demand forecasting, procurement, logistics, and warehouse operations.
- Build and operate distributed systems and microservices in production environments.
- Manage and contribute to multiple GitHub repositories in a collaborative engineering environment.
- Work with relational databases, including SQL performance tuning and concurrency management.
- Use workflow orchestration tools and containerized environments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data, AI, analytics engineering, and supply chain teams.
- Debug systems, tune performance, and take ownership of backend projects.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience in production environments.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Deep understanding of relational databases, SQL performance tuning, and concurrency management, including SQL Server.
- Experience building and operating distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Prefect or Airflow.
- Experience with the complete software development lifecycle for diverse production-scale systems.
- Strong debugging, performance tuning, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or similar production container platforms.
- Preferred experience designing and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and supporting analytics engineering.
- Familiarity with optimization systems, simulation platforms, operations research, or supply chain modeling platforms.
- Experience with Go, machine learning algorithms, optimization algorithms, or AI-native applications is preferred.
