Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI and machine-learning components for production use cases including fault analysis and system analytics.
- Build and maintain ML pipelines covering data ingestion, preprocessing, training, evaluation, and inference.
- Deploy and operate AI systems in CARIAD infrastructure, including monitoring, performance optimization, and continuous model improvement.
- Collaborate with data science, software development, and product teams to align AI solutions.
- Evaluate emerging AI and machine-learning methods, tools, and architectures for practical use.
- Enable colleagues to use AI tools and share knowledge within development teams.
Requirements
- A university degree in a technical field or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong software-development background with practical experience building and operating production systems.
- Solid knowledge of supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning and their practical application.
- Very good Python and C++ skills and experience integrating ML models into applications or services using MLOps.
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow and PyTorch or comparable technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and deploying AI workloads in scalable environments, such as MCP servers.
- Understanding of data processing and preparation, large datasets, and feature engineering.
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Very good English at C1 level; German is advantageous.
