Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and system design of scalable platform capabilities that expose location intelligence to AI agents.
- Build and integrate systems that convert natural-language location intent into deterministic, decision-grade results.
- Optimize agentic systems for latency, cost, reliability, and constrained or edge environments such as automotive.
- Design evaluation strategies, benchmarking, and reliability patterns to validate correctness and performance.
- Lead technical reviews and decisions, retire architectural risk, mentor engineers, and communicate trade-offs across teams and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a senior or principal engineer delivering production-grade agentic systems end to end, from design through rollout and operations.
- Experience with agentic-system evaluation, reliability, and safety patterns.
- Strong Rust and Python skills, especially Rust, with experience across machine-learning frameworks.
- Strong foundations in system design, distributed systems, API design, observability, and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience with prompting, orchestration, tool and function calling, and structured interfaces that enable reliable LLM actions.
- Ability to lead through influence, align stakeholders, communicate trade-offs, and make high-quality technical decisions.
- Mandatory hands-on use of AI tools in day-to-day engineering.
- Preferred experience with cost-aware LLM serving, caching, latency optimization, constrained or edge deployments, location services, navigation, geospatial data, and model adaptation techniques such as LoRA or QLoRA.
- Open-source contributions, publications, patents, or recognized technical leadership in AI/ML are preferred.
