Base Salary

$90k - $145k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop advanced motor-control algorithms, including sensorless motor control, for proof-of-concept prototypes.
  • Design, simulate, implement, and test motor-control functionality in embedded systems.
  • Develop electrification solutions for power tools and outdoor equipment.
  • Provide technical leadership for electronic systems, components, and sub-assemblies.
  • Document designs and technical decisions clearly.
  • Translate internal customer and stakeholder needs into engineering solutions.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and track progress against deadlines.
  • Train and mentor junior team members.
  • Monitor semiconductor and motor technology advancements relevant to the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • 4–6 years of C and C++ software development experience.
  • Knowledge of assembly programming.
  • Experience with microcontrollers, peripherals, communication interfaces, closed-loop control, feedback systems, motor drives, and motor-control algorithms including Field Oriented Control.
  • Understanding of timers, GPIO, watchdogs, ADC, UART, DMA, hard real-time processing, process scheduling, cooperative multitasking, interrupt processing, race conditions, and RTOS.
  • Experience with both hardware and software development.
  • Experience using power supplies, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, digital multimeters, and in-circuit debuggers.
  • Strong ownership, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple unrelated objectives concurrently.
