Responsibilities
- Design core application architectures and optimize application health metrics including startup latency, app size, memory usage, frame rates, and Application-Not-Responding issues.
- Build secure platform integration layers for Google Pay’s client foundation.
- Build and maintain release pipelines, automated testing infrastructure, and developer tools.
- Use AI-powered solutions to automate diagnostics, optimize workflows, and improve developer velocity.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, UX, security, release, and other cross-functional teams to deliver architectural and platform initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
- Experience with mobile development, such as Android, iOS, or Flutter.
- Preferred experience optimizing and scaling client systems for applications serving millions of active users.
- Preferred experience with mobile app development focused on client infrastructure, performance profiling, or developer tooling.
- Ability to work effectively with feature teams and cross-functional partners to drive initiatives end-to-end.
