Responsibilities
- Design and develop software solutions within the digital engineering team.
- Develop operational and system support tools and documentation for application maintenance and support.
- Contribute to solution design, technical options, architecture alignment, and digital roadmap delivery.
- Perform code and process reviews to deliver reliable, secure, maintainable, production-ready applications.
- Apply engineering standards, tools, methods, agile processes, and continuous improvement practices.
- Provide estimates and contribute to continuous improvement backlog sizing.
- Support applications across production support, build, and run functions.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience as a Java engineer, preferably in a digital team.
- Proven experience with microservice and API development using event-driven architecture, including service segregation, API modelling, and versioning.
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, JPA, messaging, GraphQL, and React.
- Understanding of CI/CD tooling, DevOps processes, and Google Cloud or AWS.
- Understanding of security principles, with exposure to Identity and Access Management.
- Knowledge of system analysis methodologies and tools.
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Familiarity with application support procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, resilience, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Advantageous experience with Kubernetes, GKE, AWS or GCP technologies, ELK, Apache Kafka, Tibco ESB, Adobe Experience Manager, Salesforce or CRM, ForgeRock IAM, marketing technologies, and front-end technologies such as React or Vue.
