Base Salary
$108k - $149k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and testing of complex software components.
- Debug and troubleshoot advanced software issues.
- Write and maintain detailed code documentation.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
- Support software integration with hardware systems.
- Define software requirements and specifications with stakeholders.
- Drive initiatives to improve software performance and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of software development experience.
- Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
- Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with agentic coding tools.
- Preferred: aerospace and defense industry experience.
- Preferred: understanding of C, C#, C++, HTML, Java, Python, and Bash.
- Preferred: experience with requirements tracking, code review, static analysis, library and artifact repositories, and automated build tools.
- Preferred: knowledge of Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and Spiral methodologies and experience with data structures.
- Must have a current and active Secret U.S. security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required for employment because the role requires an active U.S. security clearance.
- Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods and perform the hand and finger dexterity required for coding and testing.
