Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and operate Kubernetes workloads on Red Hat OpenShift and AKS in production and test environments.
- Define cluster topology, multi-tenancy, RBAC, namespace, and workload placement standards.
- Implement GitOps workflows with ArgoCD and manage Helm, Kustomize, ingress controllers, and service mesh tooling.
- Maintain container image standards, vulnerability scanning, and registry hygiene.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and progressive delivery patterns.
- Develop Terraform infrastructure as code and contribute to shared module libraries.
- Contribute to Azure cloud architecture, including networking, identity, private connectivity, and cost optimization.
- Improve observability through metrics, logging, tracing, alerting, and consistent actionable platform signals.
- Drive SLO/SLI practices, lead blameless post-mortems, and reduce recurring production incidents.
- Enforce security through secrets management, policy enforcement, network policies, and compliance practices.
- Mentor engineers, review work, remove blockers, and share technical knowledge.
- Maintain documentation, architecture decision records, and runbooks, and participate in architecture reviews and roadmap planning.
Requirements
- BTech, MTech, or MCA qualification.
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering, with prior principal- or staff-level experience.
- Deep hands-on Kubernetes experience, including production experience with Red Hat OpenShift or AKS.
- Hands-on proficiency with Terraform and ArgoCD.
- Strong Azure platform knowledge covering networking, identity, cost management, and Azure-native services.
- Experience with observability tooling including Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with security practices including secrets management and policy enforcement.
- Ability to mentor peers, communicate technical concepts clearly, and collaborate across distributed teams.
- Experience migrating workloads to Kubernetes or managing on-premises Kubernetes deployments.
- Familiarity with containerization strategies and legacy application modernization.
- AWS experience or a multi-cloud background.
- Kubernetes certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or CKS are relevant qualifications.
