Responsibilities
- Act as a senior technical owner within the People Systems domain.
- Lead engineering efforts related to People data flows and lifecycle events.
- Design and implement custom extensions and integrations using various tools.
- Partner with Integrations and Automation teams to build automated People workflows.
- Own the technical design and implementation of People-related integrations.
- Contribute to People reporting and analytics initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual operations through automation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and HR stakeholders to translate needs into solutions.
- Participate in on-call rotations and ensure operational reliability.
Requirements
- 6-8 years of experience building and supporting enterprise systems.
- Deep exposure to HR/People platforms such as Workday.
- Experience with custom development, APIs, and middleware.
- Strong understanding of system-to-system integrations and data modeling.
- Comfortable working across UI-driven configuration and code-based solutions.
- Experience in compliance, audit, and security environments.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives and make architectural decisions.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring engineers and enhancing team capabilities.
- Familiarity with People data analytics and reporting pipelines.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, scripting languages, or automation frameworks.
- Experience in Product Engineering organizations.
