Responsibilities
- Understand customer business challenges, structure them, and formalize them as business requirements.
- Identify technical requirements and select appropriate AI/ML services and algorithms.
- Collaborate with technical specialists to design and validate ML solutions and AWS architectures.
- Support customer ML and GenAI projects from initial discovery through completion, including technical sales support and exploratory data analysis.
- Build, validate, deploy, and productionize ML and GenAI solutions on supporting infrastructure.
- Train customer teams and collaborate with ML engineers, cloud architects, and application developers.
Requirements
- Experience with AWS or cloud technologies.
- More than five years of experience as a data scientist or ML engineer, including experience building ML models and GenAI systems.
- Fluency in French and English is required for interactions with global Amazon entities and Canadian stakeholders.
- Preferred: master’s degree in engineering, computer science, machine learning, operations research, statistics, or a related field.
- Preferred: experience developing experimental and analytical plans, establishing baselines, and determining causal relationships.
- Preferred: deep technical skills, business acumen, and ability to collaborate with executives, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Preferred: experience consulting with customers on AI and GenAI needs.
- Preferred: experience building and maintaining MLOps systems, deploying models to production, and operating data science development environments.
- Preferred: knowledge of data governance, data consumption, visualization, and reporting.
