Base Salary
$230k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Ship AI agent features that help engineering teams use agents effectively and responsibly.
- Iterate on Sphere’s agent sandbox environments.
- Create workflows for agents to inspect code, run local infrastructure, make changes, run tests, and prepare work for human review.
- Partner with engineers to identify high-leverage internal workflows for agent automation.
- Lead internal AI agent enablement across engineering, operations, customer success, tax research, and implementation.
- Build “Goose,” Sphere’s internal AI agent layer for operating across company systems.
- Own the infrastructure, tooling, and workflows that enable agents to take on increasingly complex work.
- Establish patterns for agent context, permissions, review, observability, and escalation.
Requirements
- Experience building production-quality software.
- Experience with AI agents, coding agents, internal developer tooling, or AI agent enablement.
- Comfort working across backend systems, infrastructure, local development environments, CI, and internal tools.
- Strong judgment around autonomy, safety, permissions, and human review.
- Ability to turn ambiguous internal problems into working systems that people use.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to improving speed without reducing correctness.
