Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop and support satellite communications and software-defined radio solutions.
- Apply wireless communications, digital signal processing, RF theory, communications theory, modulation and demodulation, PLLs, forward error correction, and BER testing.
- Work with SGLS, CCSDS, DVB-S2, and other satellite TT&C waveforms, including ranging.
- Use virtualization and containerization technologies and operate in a Linux environment.
- Use commercial test equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
- Lead the software development process and provide technical leadership to the team.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related STEM field plus at least five years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree plus at least three years of relevant experience.
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong understanding of wireless communications systems, digital signal processing, RF theory, communications theory, modulation and demodulation techniques, PLLs, forward error correction, and BER testing.
- Previous experience with SGLS, CCSDS, DVB-S2, and other satellite TT&C waveforms, including ranging.
- Familiarity with virtualization, containerization, and software-defined radios.
- Familiarity with commercial test equipment including signal generators, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
- Proficiency with Python or other scripting languages and the Linux operating system.
- Department of Defense TOP SECRET security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI eligibility at the time of hire.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to access classified information.
- Ability to lead software development and provide technical leadership.
