Base Salary
$110k - $130k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and implement automated test suites for APIs and backend services.
- Develop and maintain Python and Behave automated tests for new features and system enhancements.
- Integrate automated test suites into GitLab CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
- Maintain automation frameworks for evolving system architectures, including blockchain-based components.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to improve testability and quality across distributed systems.
- Create and manage JIRA-integrated defect workflows for communication and traceability.
- Define, track, and publish QA metrics for automated test development, execution, and quality reporting.
- Build and maintain performance and load testing suites for backend services and smart-contract interactions.
- Perform functional, API, automation, performance, and integration testing.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tooling, and practices.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of QA engineering delivery experience with a strong focus on backend and API testing.
- At least 4 years of delivery experience within Agile SDLC teams, ideally involving CI/CD.
- Hands-on Python programming experience, including strong knowledge of Behave, test-driven development, and QA design patterns.
- Strong experience testing REST APIs, backend microservices, and distributed systems.
- Experience with blockchain technologies such as smart contracts, distributed ledgers, and blockchain node interaction is preferred.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD tooling and pipelines, especially GitLab CI/CD.
- Knowledge of testing tools including Behave, PyTest, Postman or REST Tools, and JMeter or similar performance tools.
- Proficiency with GitLab, Git, Jenkins, and Docker.
- AI integration experience is preferred.
- Exposure to banking or finance environments is preferred.
