Base Salary
$110k - $155k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and implement automated test suites for APIs and backend services.
- Integrate automated tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
- Maintain and improve automation frameworks for evolving distributed-system and blockchain-based architectures.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to ensure testability and quality.
- Create and manage JIRA-integrated defect workflows with clear traceability.
- Define, track, and publish QA metrics for automated test development, execution, and quality reporting.
- Build and maintain performance and load testing suites for backend services and smart contract interactions.
- Perform functional, API, automation, performance, and integration testing.
- Improve QA processes, tooling, and practices within an Agile environment.
Requirements
- 7+ years of QA engineering delivery experience with a strong focus on backend or API testing.
- 5+ years of delivery experience within Agile SDLC teams, ideally involving CI/CD.
- Strong experience testing REST APIs, backend microservices, and distributed systems.
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD tooling and pipelines.
- Experience with Java, Playwright, Behave, Postman or REST tools, and JMeter or similar performance tools.
- Experience with GitLab, Git, Jenkins, and Docker.
- Blockchain technology experience, including smart contracts, distributed ledgers, or blockchain node interaction, is preferred.
- AI integration experience is preferred.
- Banking or finance environment experience is preferred.
- Some managerial experience and the ability to work with development and product teams are expected.
