Responsibilities
- Lead product and technical design, including writing and reviewing technical RFCs.
- Own features from ideation through production deployment.
- Design and operate backend systems and data architecture in production environments.
- Build Big Data and ETL pipelines and help own a large-scale data warehouse, including cost and performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Frontend, ML, and DevOps teams.
- Use AI-driven development tools to accelerate coding, testing, and code reviews.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience in production environments.
- Experience with Python and FastAPI is advantageous.
- Experience developing Big Data and ETL pipelines using AWS Lambda, Kinesis, DynamoDB, or equivalent technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake or a comparable large-scale data warehouse; cost and performance ownership at scale is a strong plus.
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
- Deep understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and non-relational databases such as DynamoDB and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
- Strong understanding of system design and data architecture principles.
- Preferred experience with LLM-powered features or applications, LangChain/LangGraph, RAG, Bedrock/OpenAI, Kubeflow or DAG-based orchestration, REST APIs, real-time scalable systems, Docker, Kubernetes, and Redis.
