Responsibilities
- Build and own backend and data-platform capabilities from requirements and design through testing, rollout, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Develop reliable, scalable data pipelines and improve SQL performance, data models, orchestration, and cloud cost efficiency.
- Build and evaluate LLM-powered security workflows for enrichment, triage, summarization, and investigation.
- Use AI assistants and agents for development, investigation, testing, and documentation while validating their output.
- Partner with Security Research, Product, and R&D teams to deliver maintainable security solutions.
- Mentor engineers, review code and designs, and improve testing, observability, and engineering practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience and strong Python skills.
- Experience owning production backend or data systems.
- Deep SQL and data-modeling expertise, including optimizing complex queries over large datasets.
- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms and workflow orchestration using GCP, Apache Airflow, BigQuery, or equivalent technologies.
- Understanding of reliable pipeline design, including retries, idempotency, API integrations, data quality, and monitoring.
- Ability to use AI development tools effectively, critically review generated code, and verify behavior through tests and evidence.
- Ability to resolve ambiguous requirements, explain technical tradeoffs, and collaborate across engineering and security teams.
- Preferred experience integrating LLM APIs, designing prompts and structured outputs, and evaluating AI workflows.
- Preferred experience with cybersecurity telemetry, detection pipelines, products serving multiple customers, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, or dashboard and reporting tools.
