Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain software installation packages and deployment solutions for Windows and Linux.
- Create installation scripts and automation using C#, PowerShell, Bash, C++, and related technologies.
- Use Windows Installer, InstallShield, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines to support reliable deployment processes.
- Develop tests for installation, upgrade, configuration, and deployment functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation and deployment issues with guidance from senior team members.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, DevOps, and other team members on installation and deployment requirements.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, knowledge sharing, and Agile development activities.
- Use and validate AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, testing, troubleshooting, learning, and documentation.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of professional software development experience, preferably involving installation, deployment, build, or related technologies.
- Experience with one or more of C#, C++, PowerShell, or Bash, plus good programming fundamentals.
- Understanding of Windows and/or Linux operating systems, software installation, configuration, and deployment processes.
- Experience with or knowledge of Windows Installer, InstallShield, or similar packaging technologies.
- Understanding of software design, development, testing, debugging, maintenance, and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with or willingness to adopt AI-assisted software development tools and validate their generated code and recommendations.
- Experience with Git or Perforce and familiarity with CI/CD and automated build, test, and deployment processes.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Good analytical, debugging, problem-solving, written communication, verbal communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
