Base Salary
$194k - $233k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deliver cloud architecture that solves business problems while balancing architecture and business margins.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and DevOps engineers to understand requirements and architect scalable cloud solutions.
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based architecture for efficiency, scalability, availability, performance, and security.
- Evaluate and select cloud technologies, platforms, and tools, including Kubernetes.
- Optimize cloud systems for high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery.
- Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for cloud infrastructure health and performance.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and operational issues.
- Stay current with cloud computing, distributed systems, and cybersecurity trends and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or in a similar role designing and implementing cloud solutions in production.
- Extensive API- or programming-level experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with one or more programming languages, specifically Java or Python.
- Experience with REST API clients.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms and in-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
- Experience building highly scalable distributed systems and resilient cloud services.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work in an agile environment and drive initiatives with clarity and purpose.
- Experience with networking and security controls is a plus.
- CloudFormation and Terraform experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Spring or similar ecosystems is preferred.
- Knowledge of Docker containers is preferred.
- Knowledge of Gang of Four design patterns is expected.
- Ability to serve in compliance with U.S. export controls.
