Senior Software Engineer | Remote | AI SaaS Software Role
Process StreetResponsibilities
- Architect and evolve backend systems using Scala, Play, Postgres, and AWS.
- Design and deploy scalable APIs and AI-assisted services.
- Own feature development end to end from ideation through production.
- Build frontend features using React, Chakra, Storybook, and modern state-management tools.
- Develop agent-driven development workflows and internal tooling, prompts, and engineering systems.
- Use Claude Code and Codex to accelerate implementation, debugging, and refactoring across parallel coding sessions.
- Optimize frontend, backend, and AI-assisted pipeline performance.
- Define best practices for AI-native software development.
- Eventually lead a small team of two to three engineers.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong backend systems experience with Scala or Java, Ruby, or C#.
- Strong JavaScript and React experience.
- Experience building and scaling SaaS products.
- Deep familiarity with AI coding tools including Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.
- Experience with multi-session, agent-driven workflows and AI-assisted development.
- Experience designing systems rather than only implementing features.
- Experience building internal developer tools, prompt systems, reusable AI workflows, or agent-like systems is beneficial.
- Experience with functional programming is a bonus.
- Excellent written communication and comfort working autonomously in an async-first environment.
