Responsibilities
- Guide customers through migrations to Snowflake and develop methodologies to improve the migration process.
- Deploy Snowflake according to best practices and provide knowledge transfer so customers can extend the platform independently.
- Work hands-on with customers to demonstrate and communicate Snowflake implementation best practices.
- Maintain expertise in competitive and complementary technologies and position Snowflake appropriately.
- Work with system integrator consultants to position and deploy Snowflake in customer environments.
- Resolve customer-specific technical challenges and support Professional Services team members in developing their expertise.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake products and marketing.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience working with customers in pre-sales or post-sales technical roles.
- Experience migrating between data platforms and addressing the broader challenges of adopting a new platform.
- University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong presentation skills for technical and executive audiences, including whiteboarding, presentations, and demos.
- Understanding of the full data analytics stack, from ETL and data platform design through BI and analytics tools.
- Strong database, data warehouse, data processing, and SQL analytics skills.
- Experience selling data or analytics software to enterprise customers, including stakeholder identification, value propositions, and compelling events.
- Extensive experience with large-scale database technologies such as Netezza, Exadata, Teradata, and Greenplum.
- Software development experience with C/C++ or Java and scripting experience with Python, Ruby, Perl, or Bash.
- Ability and flexibility to travel for on-site customer work.
- Preferred experience with Hadoop, HBase, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, Tableau, AWS, Microsoft Azure, OpenStack, ETL tools, AWS services, enterprise SaaS, code agents, SnowPro Core Certification, and enterprise software success.
