Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures for functional, integration, system, end-to-end, and regression requirements.
- Perform software verification and validation, identify quality risks, investigate defects, conduct root cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams on resolution.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and suites for web applications, APIs, backend services, and industrial control systems.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and improve automation coverage, execution efficiency, and reporting.
- Validate control-system applications, communication protocols, field devices, controllers, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
- Support Hardware-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop, system-level, and customer acceptance testing.
- Participate in release readiness reviews and advocate quality engineering and shift-left testing practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
- 5–7 years of experience in software quality assurance or test engineering.
- Experience automating tests for enterprise software products and industrial control systems.
- Proven experience developing automated test solutions and frameworks using one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Experience with automation frameworks such as Pytest, Selenium, Robot Framework, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Experience with Git or GitHub, Jenkins or GitHub Actions, Linux, Docker, REST APIs, and test management tools such as Jira, Xray, Zephyr, or TestRail.
- Preferred familiarity with AWS or Azure, containerized applications, microservices, cybersecurity testing for industrial systems, and performance, scalability, reliability, or resiliency testing.
- Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, ownership, and prioritization skills.
