Responsibilities
- Develop and execute GCP cloud adoption, migration, architecture, and implementation strategies.
- Apply SRE practices to improve service reliability, availability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Build, maintain, and optimize GCP infrastructure using Terraform or Deployment Manager.
- Design automated deployment pipelines and operational workflows for continuous integration and delivery.
- Lead cloud incident response, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, cost, efficiency, and reliability.
- Implement cloud security controls and support compliance and risk monitoring.
- Create technical documentation and mentor team members on GCP adoption and SRE practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in cloud engineering, site reliability engineering, or DevOps with hands-on GCP expertise.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Experience designing CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving experience with distributed systems and cloud environments.
- Knowledge of SRE principles including error budgets, SLIs/SLOs, and incident management.
- Experience with cloud security best practices and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Strong communication, collaboration, customer service, independent working, multitasking, and continuous improvement skills.
- Preferred qualifications include GCP professional certifications, workload migration experience, Kubernetes and Docker familiarity, and experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.
