Base Salary

$151k - $183k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate backend services, APIs, application components, and MCP/FastMCP services for AI Accelerator products.
  • Build LangGraph agent workflows, MCP tool integrations, retrieval, memory, context, semantic-layer, and governed knowledge-store capabilities.
  • Develop AWS-native deployment patterns using storage, databases, containers, serverless services, identity, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Create CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, environment configuration, release processes, security scans, observability, evaluation tooling, and quality gates.
  • Build secure sandboxed agent execution environments with provenance, data branching, version control, audit, and access-control workflows.
  • Collaborate with AI, data, frontend, architecture, product, and pod teams through MVP delivery, technical reviews, and production-readiness activities.
  • Provide technical coaching through design, code, and architecture reviews, documentation, incident learning, and reusable examples.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, platform engineering, or backend application development with increasing responsibility.
  • Hands-on AWS cloud-native application development using services and patterns including S3, RDS/PostgreSQL, Athena, ElastiCache/Redis, OpenSearch, Fargate, Lambda, IAM, and VPC.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, FastAPI, TypeScript/Node, or comparable backend frameworks.
  • Experience with containers, CI/CD, GitHub-based workflows, automated testing, environment configuration, and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
  • Experience building LLM, RAG, or agentic AI applications with tools such as LangGraph, LangChain, PydanticAI, or Claude Agent SDK.
  • Familiarity with MCP/FastMCP, vector databases, knowledge graphs, session and state management, structured-output validation, and evaluation-driven development.
  • Experience with SQL, semantic layers, data warehouse context, query history, and governed data or context layers.
  • Experience building sandboxed execution, data branching, provenance, version-control, audit, and access-control patterns.
  • Experience integrating approved frontier LLM models through OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, AWS Bedrock, or similar enterprise AI services.
  • Experience using coding agents or AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, or GitHub Copilot.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working in fast-moving, cross-functional agile teams; BMS also values experimentation with emerging AI technologies.
