Base Salary
$208k - $312k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and ship Eve framework features including file-system conventions, the compiler, and the runtime.
- Build and maintain integrations across Eve’s channel layer, including Slack, Web Chat, WhatsApp, API, and Cron, and its connections layer including Vercel Connect and MCP endpoints.
- Collaborate with the AI SDK, Workflows, and Sandbox teams to integrate Eve’s primitives across the Vercel platform.
- Improve developer experience through CLI ergonomics, error messages, documentation, and examples.
- Develop evaluation and observability capabilities including test suites, scoring rubrics, and deployment-time evaluations.
- Partner with early customers and internal teams to gather feedback, diagnose agent reliability issues, and iterate on the product.
Requirements
- At least five years of production TypeScript/JavaScript experience and the ability to own complex, stateful systems end to end.
- Strong understanding of distributed-systems concepts including durable execution, checkpointing, asynchronous workflows, and failure recovery.
- Experience building or operating developer tooling, frameworks, or SDKs used by external developers.
- Familiarity with LLM APIs and agent orchestration patterns such as tool calling, multi-agent delegation, and human-in-the-loop flows.
- Track record of shipping high-quality open-source or customer-facing APIs with strong API design.
