Base Salary
$124k - $299k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and scale AI-enabled applications, services, automations, intelligent workflows, and internal tools.
- Build applications using LLMs, AI agents, and orchestration frameworks, and transform proofs of concept into production systems.
- Drive architecture and implementation decisions and define patterns and standards for AI application development.
- Develop reusable AI services, frameworks, and components and integrate them with enterprise platforms and business systems.
- Partner with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Customer Care, Trust & Safety, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to identify and solve business problems.
- Contribute to AI governance, evaluation frameworks, responsible AI practices, reliability, observability, maintainability, security, and cost optimization.
- Coach engineers and technical stakeholders, lead technical discussions, and influence TextNow’s AI strategy.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience, equivalent to at least 60 months.
- Experience designing and delivering production-grade software systems.
- Strong programming skills in one or more modern languages such as Go, Python, TypeScript, or Ruby.
- Experience with cloud platforms and modern deployment practices.
- Hands-on experience building applications with Large Language Models and experience training custom models.
- Understanding of prompt engineering, evaluation methodologies, AI system design, workflow automation, and orchestration platforms.
- Familiarity with retrieval systems, vector databases, knowledge management, or agent frameworks.
- Ability to lead projects from concept through deployment and operate independently in ambiguous environments.
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences and a strong ownership mindset.
- Preferred experience includes enterprise AI solutions, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, open-source model ecosystems, observability and AI performance monitoring, AI governance or security frameworks, telecommunications, or internal developer productivity tools.
